Elaine upsets Jerry's virgin girlfriend, causing Elaine to get sued by Ping. Meanwhile, George gets Susan fired because he kissed her in the meeting. The honchos at NBC love the butler idea, so Jerry and George go with it. Kramer watches a lot of TV, in other words, pretty unimportant.
Our Commentary
We start this beauty of an ep
with a very nice OCB
. Right after this OCB
we get classic and hilarious George, Marla, Jerry, Stacy. Some great stuff between George and Jerry in determining whether Susan is his girlfriend. We also get the double Snapple offering. We also have Elaine the whore, who keeps her diaphragm in her pocketbook just in case, b/c she never knows when she'll need it. What is this Cinemax? People just don't bump into each other and have sex. Hilarious stuff with Stu and Jay laughing it up about the butler idea, especially the neckbrace, and love George's comment about Russell becoming a woman. The multi-episode arcs are all over the place in this ep
as they are throughout Season 4. Good job done by the Farrelly Bros. before their multiple movie hits. Finally, we also have an appearance from Cousin Daryn. Overall, a nice intro ep
into one of the most famous Seinfeld episodes of all time, which gave LD
his first Emmy win, an ep
so great that it appears on both of our Top 50s, we give you, 4:11 The Contest. Adam - Pretty funny episode. Great hitter in this episode, although she looks a lot better.
